This photo immediately reminded me of a line from a poem in Lord of the Rings: Roads go ever ever on, Over rock and under tree... It fits this very well. I can see every detail- the leaves on the ground and clinging to the branches, the texture of the grass, the form of the trees gradually receding 'till the road takes a sudden bend and disappears to who knows where... From a more technical point of view, I think the contrast is very and the fact that the picture was taken from a position slightly on the side and the varied shapes of the trees prevent it from being over symmetrical. The pallor of the light and some of the leave makes a nice contrast against the darker color theme. I can just imagine the sun breaking through the clouds and bathing the whole scene in golden light... And yes, I enjoy Autumn very much!
